Fitness on Fridays?

Ok, I'm thinking of starting the check in for fitness thing starting next week. I was thinking I would make it a Friday thing. It's a good time to check in and get focus before the weekend and the temptations that weekends bring. I 'll be contacting people throughout the week that expressed interest in this.

I'm thinking, you can either just post in a thread here how you're doing *and/or* you can do a post on your blog and leave a comment with your link here so others can visit you and give you encouragement. You can update however you want. Some of you are probably more daring than I am. You will share your weight with others, so you may want to do a weigh-in that day for your post. Or maybe you want to share your exercise success for the week or say you've lost a pound or two without giving away your weight. It's really up to you. This is just a way to check in and feel accountable. Maybe you found a quote or something that inspires you or discovered some music that's great to exercise to. Share, share, share! :)

How does that sound?

Sounds great to me! I spent a little while online with Lorie this morning IMing about what snacks and stuff we've found (can't live in a world with no snacks!) and it really helped to hear some good, low calorie, ideas! I'll have to write up my Fitness Friday posts on Thursday evenings though because I don't stay home on Fridays, until evening. But that's ok with me! :)

So how is it going Natalie?

That sounds good! I do my weigh in post on Tuesday nights so I will just link up to that post for the Friday Fitness! I think this is a great idea to get encouragement from everyone! I need it. I loved talking to Dawn today about snacks and restaurants and even how to get oils in. Duh I never thought about peanut butter. I thought it was bad and have not eaten much at all!

Do you have a button for this?

Hi Natalie,

I have the greatest respect for people who try to get fit/ lose weight. I got seriously ill on a very brief overseas trip in late December, but I'm now working on my fitness again by spending 20-30 minutes every evening, just playing tennis by hitting a ball against a garage wall.

As a former competitive tennis player, the key to my fitness pursuit is to get fit doing something I actually enjoy.

By the way, in answer to your comment on my blog, it's the 20 kmh speed sign that has to come down for the Formula One race!

Keep smiling

David

Okay... I want to join. However, I'm looking more to loose inches than pounds. I had my baby in July 07... I'm back to my prepregnancy weight but can't seem to get rid of my tummy. I think I need to eat better AND exercise. I need accountability in eating better. Can I join?
